My favorite girl, Julie Anne San Jose has another milestone to celebrate. Fresh from the awarding yesterday at GMA 7's Sunday variety show, Party Pilipinas, the young diva received her double platinum award for her self-titled album "Julie San Jose" which was released August of last year. I don't have the copy of her album yet but I was able to listen to some of her songs in youtube and as always, I have nothing but pure admiration about her style, her soothing voice and all the other amazing things she can do as an artist and as a person.
Endowed w/ great GOD-given talent, she's getting popular everyday locally and abroad, a dedicated student, a church devotee, responsible daughter and most of all a very accommodating person to her fans and all her followers. She's indeed an epitome of a young lady who dreams big and always give her big heart to what she do. I'm sure many would agree if I say "multi-talented" and "versatile" are both synonymous to her name. It seems the universe and the stars have favored this year for Julie, more to come and way to go girl!
Here's sharing the great news about her album going double platinum and soon triple platinum :)
GMA Records handed out its first-ever Double Platinum Record award to one of its recording artists, Julie Anne San Jose, yesterday in Party Pilipinas for the outstanding sales of her self-titled debut solo album, having exceeded over 30,000 units sold in both physical (CDs) and digital sales.
The album, which was first released thru iTunes last Aug. 10, immediately landed on iTunes Philippines’ No. 1 spot as the most downloaded album. It also entered the sales charts of iTunes Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, HongKong, Macau and Taiwan and eventually became one of iTunes Southeast Asia’s Top 10 most downloaded albums.
The CD was released on Aug. 15 and turned Gold just 3 weeks after.
Julie Anne is also the first-ever recipient of the Philippine Association of the Record Industry’s (PARI) Platinum Digital Single Award for the outstanding digital sales performance of her carrier single “I’ll Be There” with over 245,000 downloads (and counting).
The latest single lifted off Julie Anne’s album is a pop-rock Tagalog song called “Bakit Ngayon”, composed by up and coming band vocalist Barbara Jeanne Ponciano, which is also going to be the love theme of the upcoming primetime Koreanovela “The Greatest Love” which begins airing in GMA-7 on Feb. 11.
Join the phenomenon and grab a copy of Julie Anne’s self-titled debut album, available on CDs at Astroplus, Astro Vision, Odyssey, The Landmark and SM Music & Video outlets nationwide. “Julie Anne San Jose”, the album, is also available on iTunes worldwide.
